Assistant General Manager - Print Production Facility

As an Assistant General Manager, you will be collaborative and inclusive in helping our customers meet their copy and print needs while leading a fun, team-oriented culture. Our print facilities are not typically customer facing as larger orders from our stores are sent to our print facilities to complete. You’ll lead and manage all print production associates and activities to produce and finish large copy and print orders coming into our local print facility using high end digital printer/copier equipment.

Help both your print facility, local stores and your customers win.

• Plan and schedule production activities and supervise the production process
• Lead team to improve operational effectiveness by streamlining work processes and procedures
• Maintain relationships with current suppliers as well as sourcing and qualifying new vendors
• Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
• Manage labor and material resources to meet production targets with the highest quality
• Foster and facilitate effective communication between all support functions
• Supervise, coach, develop, train, onboard and inspire a team of associates
• Work with General Manager to improve profitability and to set plans to favorably impact controllable P&L expenses
• Plan, evaluate and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output
• Consistently deliver to customer expectations by coaching the team to optimum performance
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:

• 3+ years managing in a digital print production or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe Suites
• Excellent communication, planning, delegation, negotiating and organizational skills
• Leadership and vision in managing teams collaboratively
• Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Ability to work through and manage change successfully
• Excel at operating in a fast paced environment with a high degree of flexibility

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience using technology to open a disk, CD, Zip and print a document in these formats
